THE 5 BIGGEST RIVALS OF THE BLACK-N-GOLD

Today, Mrs. Black-N-Gold presents to you #1 of the 5 Biggest Rivals of the Black-N-Gold. Before we do, let's look back at the contenders. #5 Cincy Reds-Boo! #4 Washington Craps-Yuck! #3 Cleveland Clowns-Hiss! #2 Philly Cryers-Ewww! And now, #1 of the 5 Biggest Rivals of the Black-N-Gold is......The Baltimoron Ravens! When Art Modell moved the first incarnation of the Cleveland Clowns to Baltimore, in 1996, they remained your Pittsburgh Steelers division rivals. The Steelers promptly won that first meeting on September 8 by a score of 31-17. As a matter of fact, the Steelers lead the series 23-16. When the NFL restructured the divisions, the Steelers and Baltimorons both moved from the AFC Central to the AFC North where they continued a rivalry that runs deeper than the 3 Rivers. These two teams and their fans clearly don't like each other. That has been made evident on the field with the countless numbers of injuries. There was the time Ray-Ray Lewis broke Rashard Mendenhall's shoulder ending Mendy's rookie season. How about the bounty that Terrell Suggs said the Baltimoron's had on Hines Ward? And remember when Ryan Clark knocked both himself (briefly) and Willis McGhahee out with a concussion? The best knockouts in this series come when the Steelers knock the Baltimorons out of the postseason. The Steelers have done that three times. Remember back in 2008? The Steelers swept the season series, then won a third time in the AFC Championship game thanks to Troy Polamalu's pick-six to end the game. Good times. Of course, our last meeting with the Baltimorons didn't end so well. Last Thanksgiving night we were treated to Coach Mike's two-step on the sidelines in a Steelers loss. The beauty of this rivalry is that we'll always play them at least twice a year. Get ready for payback. That is why the Baltimoron Ravens are #1 of the 5 Biggest Rivals of the Black-N-Gold. Let's Go Steelers!!!!!!
