Happy Black-N-Gold New Year from Mrs. Black-N-Gold and the Big Bossman! New Year is a time for renewal, to look ahead to all the things you'll resolve in your life for the next 365 days. Mrs. Black-N-Gold takes a look at some New Year's resolutions for her favorite sports teams.

1)The Penguins-Resolve to be healthy, both injury- and illness-wise. Wrap yourselves in bubblewrap and douse yourselves in Purell hand sanitizer if you have to. Resolve not to have an early exit from the playoffs this spring. Resolve to bring a 4th Stanley Cup to the 'Burgh. Let's Go Pens!!!

2)The Steelers-Resolve to stop wasting draft picks on the likes of Dri Archer. Don't put Archer into the lineup. Ever. Resolve not to try a fake punt on 4th and 9 when you're on the opponents 45 yard line while clinging to a 4th quarter 20-17 lead with the division title hanging in the balance. Resolve to add depth to a very thin roster, especially at running back. Resolve to bring a 7th Super Bowl trophy to the 'Burgh. Let's Go Steelers!!!!!!

3)The Pirates-Resolve to win the NL Central title, instead of settling for another wild card spot. Resolve to add depth to the bench and bullpen. Resolve to find an everyday first baseman if/when the Pedro experiement doesn't work. Resolve to bring a 6th World Series trophy to the 'Burgh. Let's Go Bucs!!!!!
