'Twas the night before the night before Christmas
And all through the 'Burgh
Not a creation was stirring
No one uttered a word.
They were worried that the Steelers would miss the playoffs this year
That Coach Tomlin's players would not bring them good cheer.
But this was the 40th anniversary of the greatest play of all
And on this Steelers Sunday the Bungles would fall.
Onto the field came the greatest of scenes
On Rocky, on Franco, on Lambert and Greene.
And Myron with his Towel and the Chief with his cigar
Fans all clad in black-n-gold
They came from near and far.
The Emperor Chaz Noll and Tomlin's predecessor Coach Chin
Were all there to chear the Steelers to a win.
Those clad in the black-n-gold will watch our Steelers fight
Merry Christmas to all and to all a good night!
