Fed up with
the NHL lockout? Apparently the Feds are, too as federal mediators are going to
now work with both the NHL and NHLPA to hammer out a deal. Will the Feds put
the Fed in fed up? Only time will tell. The only thing that time has told us
since the lockout began is that both sides are not showing a lot of
flexibility. It’s like a game of chicken on skates. The league has canceled
games through December 14. Why don’t they get commissioner Gary Bettmen and
NHLPA head Donald Fehr into the rink and have them throw off the gloves and
settle this like men? Meanwhile, Sid continues to discuss the possibility of
playing overseas. It seems the longer this drags on, the more likely Sid’s
threats become a reality. And the longer this goes on, the more a likelihood
the season is canceled becomes a reality, as well. Get a deal done, already. It’s
a great day for hockey. Go Pens!!!
