THE BULLPEN

Hey batter, batter, batter! Your Pittsburgh Pirates look to get back in the win column tonight against the Chicago Scrubs at PNC Park. These are your keys to tonight's game. 1)The Pirates send rookie RH Gerrit Cole to the mound tonight. Cole is 7-7 with a 3.48 ERA. In his last start, a 1-0 win over Texas, Cole had the best outing of his young career. He struck out 9 and gave up just 3 hits in 7 innings to start the Pirates recent 4-game winning streak. All aboard the Cole Train! 2)Andrew McCutchen continues his campaign for NL MVP. Clutch is hitting .462 with 4 doubles and 9 runs in 11 games for the month of September. M-V-P, M-V-P! 3)Last night's 5-4 defeat to the Scrubs was just a bump in the road. There's only 15 more games left in the regular season. The Pirates need to go out tonight and run over the Scrubs. Don't forget to bring the Hit, Run, & Score! Woop, woop, woop! Standings Alert: Both the Pirates and Cincy lost as St Louie won in 10 innings. St Louie sits alone atop the NL Central, followed by the Pirates at 1 game out. Cincy is next at 3.5 games back. Every game counts in a pennant race. Go out and start another winning streak tonight! Let's Go Bucs!!!!!
